Professor of Military Science

Lieutenant Colonel John Flach joined the No Fear Battalion as the Professor of Military Science in July 2023.  He is an active-duty Infantry Officer in the US Army.  Originally from Dallas, Texas, he attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and has served as a leader in the military since 2007.  LTC Flach enjoys the Army because of the public service, the chance to solve challenging problems while working closely with others and most importantly the opportunity to develop future leaders.  During his Army career, he served in the 82nd Airborne Division, the 2nd Infantry Division, and the 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade.  In these units he has supported humanitarian assistance missions in Haiti, combat operations in Iraq, armistice operations in the Republic of Korea, and Foreign Security Force training in Djibouti.  He also completed a Masters of Business Administration at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.  LTC Flach has been married for 14 years and has three daughters who love that their dad is a Soldier.
