Current College Students
If you are already enrolled in college, you can compete for a campus-based Army ROTC scholarship. Students must meet our contracting standards for academic and physical performance. We conduct Scholarship Boards every 6 months. The first step to the process is to successfully complete our introductory military science courses.

High School Students
Apply for the National High School Scholarship
The Army is looking for the Scholar, Athlete, Leader (i.e. well-rounded students!) to become Army Officers. Students who plan on attending a four-year college can earn a three or four year scholarship through the Army ROTC. National High School Scholarship
The Army offers one of the most robust scholarships in the country! Rising seniors in high school are encouraged to apply. The scholarship board meets in October, January and March, so don’t wait until the last minute! Once your materials have been submitted your application will automatically be reviewed at each of the scholarship boards.
Scholarship Application Process

- Create an account to begin the application process
- Submit high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, a physical fitness assessment and complete an interview with a Professor of Military Science (PMS).
- Minimum high school GPA of 2.5 is needed to apply
- The online application process opens in June. To be considered for the first review of scholarships, students must submit their materials by 12 October 2026.

Scholarship Benefits
- Full Tuition & Fees (In or Out of State rates!)
OR $12,000- Room and Board (not both) - $420 monthly tax-free stipend during the school year
- $1200 per year for books
- For North Carolina residents applying to Wake Forest, the Army scholarship can be applied in conjunction with the Gateway to Wake Forest program.
Service obligation
Upon graduation/commissioning, serve fulltime on Active Duty (for a minimum of four years) OR part-time in the National Guard or US Army Reserves (one weekend per month for Drill Weekends, plus two weeks per year for Annual Training for six years.)
