Scholarship Information
Army ROTC has a few options for campus-based scholarships. Students can earn scholarships that are 3.5, 3, 2.5 and 2 years based on the time they have remaining in their degree program.
Scholarship Benefits
- Full Tuition & Fees (In or Out of State rates!) OR $12,000- Room and Board (not both)
- $420 monthly tax-free stipend during the school year
- $1200 per year for books
Service obligation
Upon graduation/commissioning, serve fulltime on Active Duty (for a minimum of four years) OR part-time in the National Guard or US Army Reserves (one weekend per month for Drill Weekends, plus two weeks per year for Annual Training for six years.)
High School Scholarships
The Army is looking for the Scholar, Athlete, Leader (i.e. well-rounded students!) to become Army Officers and Leaders. We offer a 4-year scholarship to high school students planning on attending a four-year college program. The application can be completed online. Contact your high school academic advisor or ROTC@wfu.edu more information.
Scholarship Process
- The online application process opens in June (between junior and senior year of high school.) The application deadline to begin the online process is March of your senior year. The scholarship boards meet in October, January and March, so don’t wait until the last minute!
- How to apply:
- Create an account on my.goarmy.com
- Upon creating an account, login to the scholarship application at hs.usarmyrotc.com
- Submit high school transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, complete an interview and physical fitness assessment
- Minimum high school GPA of 2.5 is needed to apply
